FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Kevin Hemann has accepted the Executive Director position with the Highland Area Community Foundation.
Currently Highland’s Mayor, Hemann brings a wealth of business experience to the Foundation. His business career was spent at Highland Machine in Highland for 44 years rising to the role of Senior Vice President of Sales. He also presently serves on the Bank of Hillsboro and Foresight, Inc. Board of Directors.
Hemann has been involved in many civic activities including Kirchenfest Chairman 1989, St. Paul Education Foundation Secretary 2010-2014, Mayor of Highland since 2021, and past HACF Board Member 2002-2008. He has been very active in our community – from helping with School Bond issues, St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Highland Optimist Club, to name a few.
Recognized for his community service, he has been named to the Highland Area Alumni Hall of Fame, received the St. Paul Church Pauline Leadership Award, named a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, and received the Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year in 2002 and the Bob Hardy Chamber Citizen of the Year Award in 2018.

The Foundation Board of Directors welcomes Hemann to his new position, and current President Ryan Goodwin stated, “Having known Kevin and worked with him in a local service club for many years, I am confident that he will both continue and grow the legacy and impact of the Foundation in our community and surrounding areas.”
